Happy Mothers’ Day to our mums and grandmothers. I hope you can enjoy your day today. The school is communicating regularly over our facebook page. If you haven’t already followed us please do so: Holy Family Catholic Primary School Facebook Page

I spoke to Father Kirkham yesterday and he explained that the Church’s response to the pandemic is to follow official advice and that we must not gather for public acts of worship in our churches.

More Information from the Bishops’ Conference

This also means that our First Sacrament preparation is postponed for now until families and friends can gather safely once more together to celebrate First Holy Communion. Confession may be offered on request as long as hygiene and social distancing requirements are observed (e.g a physical barrier between the penitent and the priest such as a grille and cloth).

A prayer for health. Please know that our thoughts are with you at this difficult time and thank you for observing the advice given to keep your children at home.

Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
