Children who do not regularly attend school do not achieve their full potential.
Not only do they miss lessons, but patchy attendance makes it more and more difficult to catch up
If your child is absent from school for any reason please notify school before 9am.
You can phone the school on 01909 473917 and select 1 to leave a message on the absence line or email office@holyfamily.notts.sch.uk
Mrs Wendy Hamilton-Butters is our Attendance Officer and will contact you if your child’s attendance become a concern for us.
Local councils and schools can use various legal powers if your child is missing school without a good reason.
You have to get permission from Mrs McEvoy if you want to take your child out of school during term time.
You can only do this if:
- you make an application to the Mrs McEvoy in advance (as a parent the child normally lives with)
- there are exceptional circumstances
You may be fined for taking your child on holiday during term time without the school’s permission.
