Year 2 had a great day out at the National Railway Museum in York. They got to experience the Mallard simulator, had a ride on the miniature railway and learnt about rail journeys from the past.
Well done to all the children who took park in the Bassetlaw School Swimming Gala on Friday. The children showed great determination and sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. Well done Team Holy Family.
Year 5 showed what an amazing group of children they are. Everyone one of them challenged themselves to have a go at abseiling down Millers Dale Bridge, weaseling at Higger Tor, high ropes and cargo net on site and exploring in the dark at Ashford Black Marble Mine.

Children from Class 3 and Class 4 visited Sherwood Pines this week to take part in the Bassetlaw School Sports, Jingle Jog. Each child was given a Santa hat to wear during a 2km run through Sherwood Pines. All the children and adults had a great time.
Thank you to everyone who bought ' The Boy Who Lost His Burp' during author Mike Cordons visit to school. £100 was raised for the Special Care Baby Unit at Bassetlaw Hospital. Happy reading.
