Maths Week Beginning 6th July 2020

The ‘Maths with Parents’ scheme is fantastic for supporting maths learning. Two new tasks are set a week: Fridays and Tuesdays.  If you have not received an email about this scheme then please let me know.

As we are all missing football, I have written a booklet based on the cancelled UEFA Euros tournament.

Euros

This is intended to be a fun maths booklet and I hope that you enjoy it. I am going to ask you to work through this booklet. This week I would like you to complete the booklet.

Please complete the tasks set on MyMaths.  This week I would like you to look at ratio and proportion. The lesson attached to MyMaths homework is fantastic but don’t forget to e-mail me if you need any help. I also feed back on all lessons so don’t forget to check.

Keara has written this fantastic challenge!

My number contains 3 odd numbers 9,3,7 and 2 even ones .If you add the 2 even numbers together the answer is 10 if you subtracted from each other they equal 6 or -6.My number is even and between 90 000 and 100 000.I could round my number up to 100 000. A prime number goes in the hundreds column. If I was to round the tens column down I would be left with 30 .

Can anyone solve it?

If anyone else can write challenges then don’t forget to e-mail them to me.
