Mathematics

At Holy family we believe mathematics teaches us how to make sense of the world around us and to develop a powerful set of tools to change the world through developing a child’s ability to calculate, to communicate, to reason logically and to solve problems. It enables children to understand and appreciate relationships and pattern in both number and space in their everyday lives. We follow the National Curriculum 2014 for the teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2.  We try to include cross-curricular links in our maths as much as possible in order to make learning enjoyable and relevant.
