We use Outdoor Learning as a driver across the curriculum within subjects such as science, history, geography and PSHE. These are not stand alone lessons but link into the learning intentions which is are developed by the class teacher.
The Outdoor Learning specialist works across the school from EYFS – Y6.
We have a range of activities in school, in the local area and further afield. This includes children experiencing Canoeing.
We provide all children with opportunities to be challenged, to grow in independence and to succeed.
From Year 2, children are invited to take part in residential activities. Each year builds on their skills and supports them as they prepare for life at secondary school and beyond. We work closely with a variety of providers and have a highly skilled staff team. Through our own transport and catering, as well as owning our own equipment, we keep costs low to ensure all children have access to this wider curriculum.

Outdoor Education at Holy Family Catholic Primary School offers all children opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment.
