This afternoon, Year 2 had a very special visitor- our very own Mrs Nixon. She came to tell us all about Sri Lanka, her home country, as we have been learning all about the country in our Geography lessons this half term 🇱🇰
We asked her some of our prepared questions all about the food, the weather, the language and the animals that live there. We loved hearing all about the lizards in the house! 🦎
Mrs Nixon had prepared a traditional breakfast food for us to try made from plain and rice flour. It took her 2 hours to prepare and we all loved it!
We feel very lucky to be able to learn from special people in our school community all about other countries and cultures.
