Foundation had a surprise visit from Santa today. He was unable to make it in person this year so he spoke to the children through the wonder of a Zoom call.

Following on from their visit to Pumpkin Patch, Foundation 2 had their very own Pumpkin Festival. They invited members of staff from around the school who came to join in the fun. Today our foundation 2 class took a trip to Pumpkin Patch to explore how they grow. They had lots of fun getting lost in the long grass. Each child picked their own pumpkin to bring back to school and we are looking forward to see what they do with them next week.
Perlethorpe Education Center visited school today to teach Year 5 about the early settlers that made Britain their home.. They compared the way Saxons, Vikings and Normans established their settlements. The children got to experience lots of activities throughout the day. This morning we had a our traditional end of term ice-cream treat with a visit from Manfredis. Today was the last day of term for our priority groups, however school is open next week for transition for Y2,Y3,Y4, Y5 and key workers.
Year 2 had a great day out at the National Railway Museum in York. They got to experience the Mallard simulator, had a ride on the miniature railway and learnt about rail journeys from the past.
