At Holy Family, we have values that are directly linked to our Mission.

These are in the form of three promises that are child friendly and used to support all aspects of life in school.

In addition, we have a school motto that is based around the values of family and love.

As well as teaching children about the values we hold in school, our local values, we also teach our children about British Values, our National Values.  In addition, we teach children worldwide values, rooted in our Catholic faith through the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

Each week, during our Picture News Assembly, we explore our school values, British Values and Catholic Social Teaching values, linked to current affairs.

As well as Picture News assembly, we weave British Values into the life of school.

Our curriculum and our school promises positively promote mutual respect and tolerance.  Explicit opportunities include Pentecost Day when we celebrate languages, specific lessons about different Faiths and World Views in RE, how we deal with behaviour and model this to our pupils and how we celebrate the diversity within our school and across the world.

We support the value of Rule of Law through our behaviour policy and high expectations.  We also collaborate with outside agencies including the local Community Support Police Officers who regularly attend school and deliver workshops to different age groups.

We celebrate democracy by highlighting key political events such as elections to children.  We also provide opportunities for children to vote  / debate for things such as the Progress Points badges and the roles of Mission Leaders / House Captains / Vice House captains.

We promote individual liberty by promoting the importance of human dignity and providing children with opportunities to express themselves.  Pupil voice is a key aspect of life in school, including Head Teacher Tea Parties and monitoring activities.  Children also have opportunities to make choices and support the life of school in different ways.  We promote inclusion in all that we do.
