At Holy Family we have values that are directly linked to our Mission.

These are in the form of three promises that are child friendly and used to support all aspects of life in school.

In addition, we have a school motto that is based around the values of family and love.

Values, rooted in Scripture, run through all aspects of life in school.

As well as teaching children about the values we hold in school, we also teach our children about British Values.  These teach them about what it means to belong to and live in Britain.

To get a wider world view, rooted in our Catholic ethos, we also explicitly teach our children about Catholic Social Teaching principles / values.

Each week, during our Picture News Assembly, we explore our school values, British Values and Catholic Social Teaching values.

In addition, we host annual CAFOD workshops.  Our Chair of Governors is a CAFOD volunteer and leads these workshops, bringing together different shareholders for a common purpose.

Where it is appropriate to do so, we link our curriculum to Catholic Social Teaching values too.

We use the format of CST provided by CAFOD as a simple and child friendly way of introducing them to our children and we have our own ‘animal’ representatives that join us for whole school assemblies.
