Today, pupils from Year 3, 4 and 5 were invited to unveil the new map at Retford Road Cemetery that shows the graves of fallen soldiers from World War 1 and 2. It is a fantastic project and we can’t wait to do further work on this area of History. It is important that the legacy of the soldiers, who fought for us,lives on and that we were chosen to represent the younger generations in our community. We wrote a special message on the wreath and on crosses, which we placed on the graves of the many soldiers buried at the cemetery.
