If you follow the local MP, Jo White, you may have noticed an announcement that Holy Family is one of only 14 Bassetlaw schools that have achieved the Gold Sports Mark Award from the Youth Sport Trust, helping our children thrive socially and physically to their fullest potential. We started the week composing Pentecost music, and today have marked the Holy Spirit visiting the Apostles and giving them the ability to speak lots of different languages so that they can spread the Good News.  We have flamenco danced, eaten French banquets and written in Japanese.  Some of the children were able to create shapes using origami too.

It was the turn of Year 4 to go out in our canoes, continuing their learning about water safety, team work and having lots of fun.  We love taking the out so that they can thrive socially to their fullest potential.

Well done for supporting your children get to school on time, everyday.  Remember that all children's grown-ups are entered into our half term attendance award to help recognise the hard word that you are doing to support your children to keep learning, included and safe.  We are really working - Together in Love.

Thank you so much to all our grown ups in KS1 who shared in our Celebration of the Word today. Year 1 shared their beautiful artwork relating to their learning about Pentecost and Year 2 talked all about the fruits of the Holy Spirit and how each of those qualities are really important. We also showcased some beautiful singing and actions too! Well done KS1 ❤️

This morning in Worksop Cemetery Year 5 installed 67 photographs of military veterans, and 1 photograph of a Civilian killed in an air raid and honoured by the CWGC. The Chairman of Bassetlaw Council, Tony Eaton was also there to support. Thank you to our parent volunteers.

As you know, we are always trying to make our school the best for our pupils.  We have just had the front of the building improved and a huge timeline added to our corridor that is personalised to our school and our curriculum.  It looks great!

Thankyou to Shotokan Karate School for the amazing workshops they have provided in school today. The pupils in Year 4 and Year 5 are learning about healthy foods to keep themselves healthy and to help them share what they have learnt with their families.  This is provided through FAB.

A huge thank you to the PTA, in particular Kasia, who arranged to have the old stumps and green soft surface area removed for free (this would have cost around £1000).  We almost have enough money for the exercise equipment to replace it.  Thank you to everyone for their support.
